| | | Dear Fatih,
If they are reditected to the login page, it is usually related to Application Pool Recycling: see this link. From a technical viewpoint, when a user loads the quiz page, WebQuiz saves his/her session ID in memory. This way, the user can take the test. When he/she submits the test, WebQuiz checks if a session ID exists in memory and, if so, it saves the results and shows the final page. But if while taking the test, the server is reset, the session ID is lost and WebQuiz cannot find it later, so you are redirected to the login page. You should ask your system administrator to disable application pool recycling (enabled by default on Windows 2003 servers) for the website hosting your quizzes. Try to search google for "application pool recycling". We also offer hosted accounts where application pool reycling is disabled.
For your information, we have recently released a new product (eWebTest 2010 at http://www.ewebtest.com) that is hosted on servers without these issues. Existing WebQuiz quizzes can be imported into eWebTest.

| | | Hi,
How do I access the web interface for the WebQuiz that I created?
Thank you
|
| | | Dear Zab,
Did you first install the Web Administration Interface? You need to do that once for all the quizzes you create. See the FAQ How can I install and configure the Web Administration Interface? in the WebQuiz Help.

| | | I am having problems defaulting the current date onto our certificate. I have used the instructions from Adobe on creating an automatic date field and this works perfect when you view the PDF, but when I upload the certificate and either view the pdf or run the quiz the date is not included in the PDF. All the other user defined variables are displayed.
|
| | | Dear Andy,
It seems the automatic date field is not supported in the current WebQuiz release. However, we support the following two custom fields:
Quiz_Date Quiz_DateTime

| | | I would like to design multiple quizzes unique to my business, package them as a standalone product on a CD or create a zip file for download, and then sell them. I do not wish to modify your program. I would like to have the rights to distribute (sell) packaged quizzes that I create for a profit. Does any of your plans offer this type of license?
|
| | | Dear Richard,
The Site Pack license allows that.

|
| | | Dear Abiola,
If you have the Web Administration Interface SQL Edition, then you can do that. In order to do so, you need to use Logins and enter a max value of 10 attempts for each login.

| | Upgrade | John Swager | Mar 18 '09, 11:28 |
| I am trying to upgrade my version of webquizxp and wondering how to do the upgrade on an existing install and sql db.....
|
| | | Dear John,
Do you have an existing version of WebQuiz SQL and you want to upgrade it? If so, just replace the old files with the new files (except setup.asp) and then run the corresponding sql script(s); for example, if you have version 2.18 and want to upgrade to version 2.20, run the sql scripts "upgrade_218_219.sql" and then "upgrade_219_220.sql". For security reasons, be sure to make a backup copy of the SQL database before upgrading.

| | | Hi, I published my quiz and it appears the names and emails (things I set up to be requested in the user data) are not being saved. When I take the quiz, I enter the info, but when I get to the results page, they are missing. Not showing in the admin area either. I have published probably 30+ quizzes and have never had this problem before. Ideas? Thanks in advance,
|
| | | Dear Heather,
Are you sure you published in ASP and not in HTML? If you publish in HTML, you will not be able to add custom fields and save responses. Also the quiz cannot appear in your admin area. So, please publish the quiz in ASP.

| | | I am having issues when publishing a test as an ASP format. The quiz does not show up properly on the screen. It shows all the html format in the background - not the actual quiz. Before it is published as an ASP om Quiz Preview - I can actually view the quiz in the HTML format. Is there some setting I need to change in Web Quiz or the server itself to make if viewable
|
| | | Dear Cece,
Are you sure you are using a Windows server and you have enabled ASP? Can you send us a screenshot?

| | | I see in the help file that the software has the ability to import questions and answers from text files. I don't see how to do this through the software's menu...
Thanks, Tony
|
| | | Dear Tony,
To import a TXT file, choose to open an existing quiz. In the File type box (at the bottom of the window) choose the .txt format and open your .TXT file.
